in aid of Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services in Harold's Cross and Blackrock.  This event is part of the Hospice Open Garden Trail 2016, and more details can be found here.

Can You Help at the Family Fun Day?

Terenure Family Fun Day takes place this year on Saturday the 20th of August from 1pm to 4pm in Bushy Park beside the Terenure Village Market.

In order provide adequate safety and supervision cover, we will need approximately 15 -20 volunteers to attend during the event and assist with the various fun activities.

Pirates' Cove - Childrens Art Display at Terenure Library

The Artsmart children’s art classes’ diorama "Pirates Cove", which has previously been on display at the Terenure Bank of Ireland, is now being exhibited at the Terenure library until the end of July. This is a collaborative effort of children 5-13 years of age using polymer clay and watercolour.

25th Irish Classic and Vintage Motor Show at Terenure College

The 25th Irish Classic and Vintage Motor Show (Ireland’s largest classic car show) will be held in Terenure College on Sunday July 3rd 2016. The show will feature a display of vehicles from the 1916 era including Sliabh na mBan, the iconic  armoured car which accompanied Michael Collins on his fateful journey to Beal na mBlath, and a selection of cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles, the largest of which will be Dublin Tram No. 224 from the Howth Transport Museum. 

Entry for the public will be: 

Adults: €15, Children (under 12): €5, Seniors: €10.

Free car parking is available within the grounds.

Open to the public from 11.00am to 6.00pm.
Tickets may be bought at the gate or buy on line from the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club website.

Rathgar Horticultural Society 62nd Annual Show

The Rathgar Horticultural Society will hold their 62nd Annual Show between 2.30pm and 5pm on Saturday 16th July 2016 in Christchurch, Rathgar. 

Distribution of prizes at 5 pm
Admission: Adults €3; Children: free

Everyone involved with Terenure 2030 Community projects and anyone living in the Terenure area is invited to the Annual I Love Terenure 2030 Networking Summer BBQ.  This event is organised by NureNet, a Terenure based networking group, in conjunction with the traders' group I Love Terenure and Terenure 2030.

The Second Terenure Dog Show this Saturday!

The Terenure Dog Show will be on Saturday 11 June at 11.00 in Bushy Park.

Registration is from 9.00am.

There are 10 categories: puppy bitch, puppy dog , adult bitch, adult dog/veteran dog/bitch, children’s handling (8 and under), children’s handling (9 and over), handled by a lady, handled by a gent, dog with a trick, best groomed (special judge).

Terms & Conditions: Treats for all who enter. You may only enter one category. Maximum number of entrants per category is fifteen.

Tidy Towns Terenure - Thank You!

To all volunteers who came out on Saturday yesterday to help out with the Tidy Towns clean up - a big THANK YOU!!

The village is looking much better as a result - particularly Terenure Road West, which is transformed. We also got all 10 of our planters refreshed with entirely new plants and did a great clean up of the bottle bank/flower beds in the car park.

We hope you had a great day, enjoyed yourselves, met a few people and will consider coming back!

Terenure Tidy Towns Clean Up Day Saturday 28 May

Terenure Tidy Towns Group are hosting a village clean-up and planting day on Saturday the 28th May. 

Can you donate 2 hours of your weekend to do some weeding, sweeping, planting or picking up litter to spruce up your local community? If so, we would love to see you join us on the day.

Meeting up outside of the Evergreen Club in the car park on Terenure Road North at 2pm.

Bin bags, brushes and shovels etc will be provided. Just bring yourself, a good strong pair of gloves and your family and/or friends. We look forward to seeing you there.

Terenure has entered in the Tidy Towns competition for 2016 so please come along & help make a difference.

Tea Dance Time Again This Friday!

The next Tea Dance at the Evergreen Hall is this Friday, 27 May at 2pm.

The Evergreen Hall is at the rear of the car park on Terenure Road North.

This Friday special guests the Brazilian Mother's Club will be making a flower presentation to all attendees!

And as ever, the wonderful band 'Past Times' will have everyone singing and dancing!
