Water Mains Disruption in Terenure Road West Area

The Dublin Region Watermains Rehabilitation Project (DRWRP) is currently replacing the old and leaking water main on Kimmage Road West. The project is sending out water shut off notifications to customers that are directly affected by the water interruptions informing them of the dates and times the water will be switched off. However there are also a number of people in the surrounding areas (Terenure Road West, Kimmage Road Lower and Fortfield Road areas) that are being affected by low pressure when the water is switched off in Kimmage Road West.

The DRWRP is working to improve water pressure and apologises for the inconvenience caused. Any queries should be directed to the Project Hotline on 1890 882 410.

There is about 5 to 6 weeks of work left on Kimmage Road West, and there will be a need to turn the water off from 9am to 6pm approximately twice a week. Until the issue of low pressure can be resolved while the water is turned off on Kimmage Road West, water shut off notifications will be sent to all customers in the surrounding areas informing them that their water will be switched off detailing the times and dates this will happen.

Over the next few days this is likely to occur on 25, 26 and 30 January.

Terenure 2030 - an update

The Terenure 2030 project started last September with a meeting in St. Joseph's parish hall with over 150 attendees and the generation of literally hundreds of ideas on how we can make Terenure an even better place. A number of project groups have been established, each covering a specific task, and another meeting, the "first fruits" of the earlier seeding meeting, will be on 27th February (venue tbc), so watch out for further notices. All are welcome, particularly volunteers to join in!

In the meantime, any Facebook members are invited to "like" the "I Love Terenure" facebook page. Here is the link: www.facebook.com/pages/I-Love-Terenure

You can also follow what's happening with the Terenure 2030 group at their website at www.terenure2030.com

Parking Restrictions on Beechlawn Way

Please note that several pay-and-display spaces on Beechlawn Way between the Rathfarnham Road end and the entrance to a private residential car park were finally removed on 10th December 2013. A small number of pay-and-display spaces remain further up Beechlawn Way, closer to the entrance to St Joseph's.

Double yellow lines have been painted on Beechlawn Way at the Rathfarnham Road end and the road has been widened to facilitate access to the car park at the new discount store.
