Garda Alert - Light up and Lock up!
A burglary occurred in the Rathdown area on the 05/11/2016 (Saturday) at 1pm. The house was unoccupied at the time, but 2 persons were arrested trying to get away thanks to eagle-eyed neighbours and the quick response of Gardai.
It should be stressed that the most common time break ins occur is in the early afternoon / evening from 1pm to 7pm. It is vitally important when leaving the house to make sure it is properly secured and lit up.

Dublin City Marathon: 30th October, 2016
The Dublin City Marathon 2016 takes place on Sunday 30th October. Starting at 9am on Merrion Square South, the route includes Kimmage Road West, Fortfield Road, Templeogue Road and Terenure Road East.
You can expect traffic diversions around Terenure village next Sunday morning.
Terenure crossroads is one of the designated "cheering zones."

Culture Night in Terenure
This Friday 16 September is Culture Night across Ireland, and there are 2 local events in Terenure:
Renowned biologist and environmental consultant, Éanna Ní Lamhna, will present a humorous and insightful picture of gardening possibilities in our local area including an insight into pollination matters. Following Éanna's presentation, there will be a special performance of Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals" by St. Joseph's acclaimed resident organist, Peter McBride.
Talk on local history by Colette Jordan, chats with Riverdance creator Moya Doherty and portrait painter James Hanley hosted by Matt Cooper, and finally - RUGS, Ireland's best ukulele band! There may be a few surprises during the evening too.
Also at nearby Rathfarnham Castle from 6pm there will be free guided tours of the castle which dates from 1583.
