Three separate public consultations have come to our attention:
1. Dublin City Speed limits review
(Online survey, closes 22 September)
Dublin City Council are proposing significant expansion of the 30 kph speed limit across the City, and have an online survey for public reaction. You can read more here:
https://consultation.dublincity.ie/traffic-and-transport/proposed-special-speed-limits-2019/
(The link to the online survey can be found at the bottom of the page.)
2. Public consultation on use of e-rides
(Closes 1 November)
The Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport are seeking submissions on the use of "Personal Powered Transport", commonly known as E-Scooters (electric scooters). Further information, including details for making a submission, can be found at
https://www.gov.ie/en/consultation/d1531c-public-consultation-on-personal-powered-transport/
3. Registration for Core Bus Corridor Community Forums
The National Transport Authority have made various updates to their earlier plans for the new BusConnects proposals. These will be published this month and the NTA will be having further public consultations starting in November but only with pre-registered community groups, special interest groups or business organisations based in the relevant bus corridor. Only 1 representative from each group will be allowed to attend these "community forums".
Therefore it is important that as many groups as possible register with the NTA as soon as possible to ensure they can get representation at the "public" consultation. The Terenure Residents' Association will be represented, and we encourage other groups to do likewise.
More details on BusConnects can be found at their website www.busconnects.ie, and the page detailing the establishment of the Community Forums can be found at:
