Terenure Social History Project

If you have received the latest I Love Terenure newsletter, you may have seen on the reverse a story about the Terenure Social History Project. These are a series of 4 (so far) videos showing images and reminisces by long standing Terenure residents made by the Active IT society which meets regularly at Terenure Enterprise Centre. This is the first video - we'll post links to the subsequent videos over the next few weeks, but if you can't wait they can be seen on Youtube!

Period Buildings Show at Rathfarnham Castle, 13th-14th July 2013

Coinciding with Rathfarnham Village Fun Day, the Period Buildings Show will take place at Rathfarnham Castle on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July (10am-5pm).
Events include demonstrations of traditional building skills and presentations on conservation and restoration.
This is a free show.

Terenure Garden Open to the Public in Aid of Hospice

This year's Open Garden Trail in aid of Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services commenced in June. 

The garden at 14 Rathdown Crescent, Terenure will be open from 2-5pm on Saturday 13th July.

22nd Irish Classic & Vintage Motor Show, Sunday 7th July

The biggest and most popular Classic Car Exhibition in Ireland, with over 1,300 wonderful cars from all eras, is on this Sunday at Terenure College from 11am - 6pm.

The Annual Lord Mayors Cavalcade of Classic Cars arrives at 1.30pm escorted by 30 Harley Davidsons.

Among some of the outstanding attractions on show is the Jaguar XJ220, the fastest Jaguar every produced.

The Show is organised by the Irish Jaguar & Daimler Club, and supported by AXA Concours Classic Vehicle Insurance.

Charities to benefit are LauraLynn-Irelands Childrens Hospice and The National Maternity Hospital.
